Mr Fernandez was raised in Atlanta, graduating from Woodward Academy, Emory University (BA) and Georgia State College of Law (JD). In 1987, Mr Fernandez began his legal career as a state prosecutor in the metro Atlanta area where he received additional legal training and gained substantial trial experience.
In 1990, Mr Fernandez began representing his clients in the private sector and his main practice areas are criminal defense, workers compensation, wrongful death, personal injury and premises liability. Mr Fernandez has represented clients in state and federal courts all over the country.
Mr Fernandez is fluent in Spanish.
